Our Team
Derrick Saunders
Derrick has been a part of the title industry since 2002. He spent time learning every individual’s responsibilities in the title process and gaining valuable insight about each element of a seamless closing. Derrick started GreenAcre Abstract with the vision for a company who prioritizes their clients, catering to each closing with a sense of efficiency that seems almost effortless, and the capability to handle alterations happening on or off the closing table. After the initial success of GreenAcre, Derrick decided to expand the team working behind the scenes to produce a smooth experience and accommodating each client’s needs. Derrick’s hobbies include golfing, skiing, and spending time in the great outdoors; he has recently added the role of youth football coach to the list. Derrick and Tara have a son, Landen, and a daughter, Parker, who are both incredibly active and keep them busy around the clock outside of the office.
Tara Saunders
In 2004, Tara started working in the title industry. She first started in a Westchester title company, which allowed her to gain ample experience with programs such as Westchester Prep and ACRIS. When Tara joined Derrick at GreenAcre Abstract in 2012, she brought years of knowledge regarding title procedures in southern New York to the table, along with a keen attention to detail that lets our clients know we put them first. Together, Derrick and Tara have carefully built a company that puts emphasis on every aspect of title, working to ensure that GreenAcre Abstract makes every title experience a pleasant one. Outside of work, Tara enjoys traveling and skiing with her family. She prides herself on being a fun-loving mom and is always willing to go the extra mile for her family.
